Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has predicted that APC’s
presidential candidate in Saturday’s election, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,
would get 90 per cent of the total votes that will be cast in Kano.
He stated this yesterday, while receiving the wife of the presidential candidate, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, on a courtesy call at the Kano Government House, pointing out that the electorate in Kano have always been pro-Buhari and are determined to vote only for APC in the elections.
Kwankwaso disclosed that more than 80 per cent of people in the state have collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), asserting that statistics released by INEC have shown that Kano has the highest number of voters in the country.
In her speech, Hajiya Aishatu Muhammadu Buhari said the APC is proud of Kwankwaso in the way and manner he accords high priority to women development.
Meanwhile, the national chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun on Saturday in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, urged the people of Southern Kaduna to shun politicians manipulating religion to achieve their selfish ambitions to enable Buhari to win the election.
