The Enugu State chapter of the All
Progressive Congress (APC), yesterday, dismissed rumours making the
rounds that it is currently swimming in a pool of crisis, saying the
rumour was the handiwork of some PDP moles within the party.
A statement issued by the State chairman of the party and Enugu East senatorial candidate in the forthcoming polls, Dr. Ben Nwoye, said: “APC, will not be distracted by such mischievous and cheap blackmail, especially now that we are poised to wrestle power from the PDP, which had failed Nigerians, woefully in the last 16 years”.
Nwoye urged the people of the state and Nigerians in general to disregard the unfounded rumour, insisting that the opposition party was peaceful and focused.
“We are seriously committed and determined to take over from the failed PDP at all levels of government in the forthcoming general polls.” Nwoye adding that the alleged crisis song is the handiwork of the PDP moles in our fold, and we are gradually flushing them out”. Nwoye further hinted that, a fact- finding committee had been put in place to fish out all the PDP moles who are determined to pull down or launch the party into crisis.
