Following the conclusion of other zonal screenings conducted in some
cities like Ekpoma, Awka, Owerri, Enugu, Port harcourt and Ikeja for the
most anticipated model contest, attention is not channelled to the
final audition and grand finale which are both scheduled to hold in
Abuja.
Clash Of Beauty And Fashion which is the theme of this year’s edition of Most Beautiful Model In Nigeria and African Designers Concert where the winner represents Nigeria at BEST MODEL INTERNATIONAL contest in Albania – Europe, will involve over 30 models 10 African designers and 15 Nigerian fashion houses. As a choreographed show, the models who are also the contestants will showcase the designers outfit on the runway in 3 different outings with a winner to emerge at the end based on the assessment of the judges.
Speaking to cross section of journalists recently in Abuja, the Project cordinator and CEO of African Designer Concert, Mr Samaila Vangawa, said” the event is designed to attract global attention to Africa’s very rich and diversified dress culture which can be explored as a catalyst for the socio-economic growth of the world garment and textile industry” he further added that the concert which will involve music and comedy is also a way of expanding the potential power of fashion by creating weath through the empowerment of women and youths in various fashion vocation for global patronage.
The grand final is scheduled to hold on 13th June, 2015 at Sheraton Hotels while the final models audition will be on May 2nd, 2015 in CHILLIS Lounge, Area 11 Abuja. The event is packaged by Amity GLOBAL Network, an event management and promotional company.
